Last year, I discovered my inner artist, hehe.
I dabbled a bit in art, particularly calligraphy!! 😉
Here are six of my uber simple artworks 🙂 Enjoy!
1.) A well-read woman is a dangerous creature. (You betcha!)
2.) So many books, so little time. (Sadly true. )
3.) Reading is dreaming with your eyes wide open. (I don’t know about you but I like dreaming. A lot. )
4.) Read & Relax (If only I can do this everyday, every hour!)
5.) We live and breathe words (yes, we do!)
Thanks for taking the time to browse through this gallery! I’ll share more soon! 🙂
Forgive me reader for I have sinned. My last post was last September.
HAHAHAHA Although not many people read this blog, I still feel guilty and ashamed because my last post was five months ag0. 😦
I blame the following:
- Acads. (I’m a college student and sometimes that sucks. Enough said.)
- Laptop Probs (I have a laptop but it’s so BIG lol. It’s a pain carrying it back and forth between my dorm and my home. + WordPress’s app on my iPad + Android phone isn’t very user friendly)
- Laziness + lack of dedication (Probably the most accurate reason of all, hehe.)
To be fair to myself, (because I still feel guilty, hehe) I wasn’t 100% unproductive with the 3rd quarter of my 2015 reading life. I didn’t blog from September-December but…I did achieve this 😉
Hehe. Yep, I read. And read. And read some more. Granted, many of my 2015 books are Harlequin shorts-yaknow, those books with shirtless men + sexy women on the cover grannies read…but a book is a book. Haha.
I didn’t blog and I became a bit inactive in bookstagram..but I did read 116 out of my goal of 100 books this year so I gopt that going for me, which is nice. HEHE.
Anyway, I’m typing this (and I finally blogged, alleluiah!) because I was inspired by my friend Jenny’s foray into creating a blog here in WordPress a few days ago (Check her out!) 🙂
I sincerely hope I’ll be able to update this blog more often this 2016.
Here’s some cupcakes I baked for you!
Thanks for reading this! 😉
I’m not Rexanne Becnel… but I do share her name. 😉 I must warn you, this post was created solely for the preservation of four rare and precious ‘bookworm’ photos. Rare because although I take lots of pictures, I rarely take photos of myself. Precious because although I’ve had a bookstagram account for a year now, there’s very few photos of me with books. What better place to store them than at my own book blog? 😉
Click ‘Read More’ at your own risk. Haha!
A retelling of my first ever #BlindDateWithABook experience hosted by the UPLB ComArts Society last April 16 🙂
March 22, 2015. The day I met the author of the award-winning and the NY Times Bestselling author of ‘We Were Liars’-Emily Lockhart, a.k.a. E. Lockhart. There are no lies to be found in this blog post 🙂 🙂 🙂
I discovered a new way of writing down my favorite book quotes!
Since I was fortunate enough to get great reviews on my first 100-word story which I posted about two weeks ago, I thought I’d share my other 100-word story from our literature class. If you have the time and the interest, read on! ☺ Continue reading
