5 Bookish Artworks

Last year, I discovered my inner artist, hehe.

I dabbled a bit in art, particularly calligraphy!! 😉

Here are six of my uber simple artworks 🙂 Enjoy!

1.) A well-read woman is a dangerous creature. (You betcha!)

2.) So many books, so little time. (Sadly true. )11805807_1062051783805944_2101444391_n

3.) Reading is dreaming with your eyes wide open. (I don’t know about you but I like dreaming. A lot. )11830820_1062053470472442_387729551_n

4.) Read & Relax (If only I can do this everyday, every hour!)12248882_1116229841721471_917047572_n

4 Photos of Me with Books

I’m not Rexanne Becnel… but I do share her name. 😉  I must warn you, this post was created solely for the preservation of four  rare and precious ‘bookworm’ photos. Rare because although I take lots of pictures, I rarely take photos of myself. Precious because although I’ve had a bookstagram account for a year now, there’s very few photos of me with books. What better place to store them than at my own book blog? 😉

Click ‘Read More’ at your own risk. Haha!

imagesAs bookworms, we all know the popular saying “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” We probably stated it one way or another through all the years we’ve read book after book. We say it like a mantra every time we check out a book which we secretly think has a hideous cover but is blessed with great reviews and an intriguing blurb.  We say it whenever someone criticizes the face of a book we love.

Sometime last night, I decided to make a list about this popular saying, hand in hand with six familiar idioms about appearances that I found fitting.  Hmm. That rhymes. Haha. Let’s start the countdown! 🙂

7 Book Beaus

beau- /bō/ noun. a boyfriend or male admirer. Synonymsboyfriend, sweetheart, lover, darling, partner, significant other, escort, admirer, suitor

One of my most favorite parts when reading a book is getting to pick a fictional beau. Frequently he’s mainstream and I have to share my deep obsessive love for him with other fangirls. Oftentimes he’s unconventional and I get to share him with a just a few who thinks the same way. However, sometimes he’s not-well known so I get to have the privilege of him being all mine, mwahahaha. What’s constant though is that I found something in him that makes him different from any other character in a book-something that makes me wish he were real and that he indeed is my beau.
