4 Photos of Me with Books

I’m not Rexanne Becnel… but I do share her name. πŸ˜‰ Β I must warn you, this post was created solely for the preservation of four Β rare and precious ‘bookworm’ photos. Rare because although I take lots of pictures, I rarely take photos of myself. Precious because although I’ve had a bookstagram account for a year now, there’s very few photos of me with books.Β What better place to store them than at my own book blog? πŸ˜‰

Click ‘Read More’ at your own risk. Haha!

imagesAs bookworms, we all know the popular saying “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.”Β We probably stated it one way or another through all the years we’ve read book after book. We say it like a mantra every time we check out a book which we secretly think has a hideous cover but is blessed with great reviews and an intriguing blurb. Β We say it whenever someone criticizes the face of a book we love.

Sometime last night, I decided to make a list about this popular saying, hand in hand with six familiar idioms about appearances that I found fitting. Β Hmm. That rhymes. Haha. Let’s start the countdown! πŸ™‚

7 Book Beaus

lkml

beau- /bō/ noun. a boyfriend or male admirer. Synonyms: boyfriend, sweetheart, lover, darling, partner, significant other, escort, admirer, suitor

One of my most favorite parts when reading a book is getting to pick a fictional beau. FrequentlyΒ he’s mainstream and I have to share my deep obsessive love for him with other fangirls. Oftentimes he’s unconventional and I get to share him with a just a few who thinks the same way. However, sometimes he’s not-well known so I get to have the privilege of him being all mine, mwahahaha. What’s constant though is that I found something in him that makes him different from any other character in a book-something that makes me wish he were real and that he indeed is my beau.
